Dasher Troy (John Joseph Troy) was born on May 8, 1856 in New York, New York. He made his Major League debut on August 23, 1881 for the Detroit Wolverines. In 1882, his rookie year, he hit .243 with 0 home runs and 15 RBI. Troy played for the Detroit Wolverines, Providence Grays, New York Gothams and New York Metropolitans over the course of his 5 year career.
