Daryl Spencer (Daryl Dean Spencer) was born on July 13, 1928 in Wichita, Kansas. He made his Major League debut on September 17, 1952 for the New York Giants. In 1953, his rookie year, he hit .208 with 20 home runs and 56 RBI. Spencer played for the New York Giants, San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Dodgers and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that Daryl Spencer's best season was 1958, when he slugged 17 home runs and knocked in 74 runs.
