Darryl Usher (Darryl Usher) was born on January 3, 1965 in Los Angeles, California. After going to high school at San Mateo (CA), Usher attended the University of Illinois. Darryl was drafted by the New England Patriots in the 7th round (181st overall) of the 1988 Draft. Usher made his professional debut in the NFL in 1989 with the San Diego Chargers. He played for the San Diego Chargers for 1 year. He was traded to the Phoenix Cardinals when he died at the age of 25 in Phoenix, the victim of a domestic dispute. Usher and his girlfriend, Chiquita Burt, were fatally shot by Burt's former boyfriend, who then turned the gun on himself.
