Darrin Nelson (Darrin Milo Nelson) was born on January 2, 1959 in Sacramento, California. After going to high school at Piux X (Downey, CA), Nelson attended Stanford University. Nelson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1982 with the Minnesota Vikings. He played for the Minnesota Vikings and San Diego Chargers over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that 1986 was Darrin Nelson's best year, as he ran for 793 yards, ran in 4 TDs, hauled in 53 receptions and had 593 receiving yards.
