Darrel Akerfelds

Born on June 12, 1962 in Denver, Colorado, Darrel Akerfelds (Darrel Wayne Akerfelds) played for the Oakland Athletics, Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 5 year career. Akerfelds broke into the bigs on August 1, 1986 with the Oakland Athletics, and put up a 6.75 ERA in 74.2 innings pitched in 1987, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Darrel Akerfelds's best season was 1990, when he posted a 3.77 ERA.
