Dante Lavelli (Dante Bert Joseph Lavelli) was born on February 23, 1923 in Hudson, Ohio. After going to high school at Hudson (OH), Lavelli attended Ohio State University. Lavelli made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1946 with the Cleveland Browns. He played in the AAFC for 4 years, playing for the Cleveland Browns the entire time. Lavelli also played in the NFL for 7 years, playing for the Cleveland Browns the entire time.
Most people believe that 1947 was Dante Lavelli's best year, as he hauled in 49 receptions, had 799 receiving yards and caught 9 TD passes.
