Danny Thompson (Danny Leon Thompson) was born on February 1, 1947 in Wichita, Kansas. He made his Major League debut on June 25, 1970 for the Minnesota Twins. In 1970, his rookie year, he hit .219 with 0 home runs and 22 RBI. Thompson played for the Minnesota Twins and Texas Rangers over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that Danny Thompson's best season was 1972, when he hit for a .276 average.
