Danny Pierce (John Daniel Pierce) was born on January 17, 1948 in Laurel, Mississippi. After going to high school at Lumberton (MS), Pierce attended Mississippi State University, Pearl River Community College and the University of Memphis. Pierce made his professional debut in the NFL in 1970 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins for his entire 1 year career.
