Danny O'Connell

Danny O'Connell (Daniel Francis O'Connell) was born on January 21, 1927 in Paterson, New Jersey. He made his Major League debut on July 14, 1950 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1950, his rookie year, he hit .292 with 8 home runs and 32 RBI. O'Connell played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Milwaukee Braves, New York Giants, San Francisco Giants and Washington Senators over the course of his 10 year career.
Most people believe that Danny O'Connell's best season was 1953, when he hit for a .294 average and knocked in 55 runs.
