Born on March 4, 1946 in San Francisco, California, Danny Frisella (Daniel Vincent Frisella) played for the New York Mets, Atlanta Braves, San Diego Padres, St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers over the course of his 10 year career. Frisella broke into the bigs on July 27, 1967 with the New York Mets, and put up a 3.41 ERA in 74 innings pitched in 1967, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Danny Frisella's best season was 1971, when he posted a 1.99 ERA, notched 12 saves and struck out 93 batters.
