Danny Coughlin (Daniel Martin Coughlin) was born on June 9, 1897 in Fairbault, Minnesota. Coughlin attended the University of Notre Dame and the University of St. Thomas. Coughlin made his professional debut in the NFL in 1923 with the Minneapolis Marines. He played for the Minneapolis Marines for his entire 1 year career.
