Dan Meyer (Daniel Thomas Meyer) was born on August 3, 1952 in Hamilton, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on September 14, 1974 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1975, his rookie year, he hit .236 with 8 home runs and 47 RBI. Meyer played for the Detroit Tigers, Seattle Mariners and Oakland Athletics over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that Dan Meyer's best season was 1977, when he slugged 22 home runs and knocked in 90 runs.
