Skating & Skills
Alfredsson is an elite offensive performer, a deadly goal-scorer and playmaker who possesses some of the best hands in the NHL. He can devastate defenses in a variety of ways, whether it be in the open ice or along the half-boards on the power play, where he shows ample creativity. He is a strong skater, especially on the puck. Playing with a great goal-scorer like Dany Heatley really invigorated his game in 2005-06.
Defense & Physical Game
Alfredsson is no slouch defensively, as he has great instincts and good hockey sense. He can kill penalties, and is a fearless player who will block shots and take abuse in high-traffic areas. That said, he is not a banger by any means.
Mental Game
Alfredsson has good leadership skills, and won't back down to or be intimidated by anyone. His work ethic is solid.
