Dan Towler (Daniel Lee Towler) was born on March 6, 1928 in Donora, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Donora (PA), Towler attended Washington & Jefferson College. Towler made his professional debut in the NFL in 1950 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Los Angeles Rams for his entire 6 year career.
Most people believe that 1952 was Dan Towler's best year, as he ran for 894 yards, ran in 10 TDs and ran for an average of 5.7 yards per carry.
