[edit] Biography

Born on February 4, 1962 in Gary, Indiana, Dan Plesac (Daniel Thomas Plesac) played for the Milwaukee Brewers, Chicago Cubs, Pittsburgh Pirates, Toronto Blue Jays, Arizona Diamondbacks and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 18 year career. Plesac broke into the bigs on April 11, 1986 with the Milwaukee Brewers, and put up a 2.97 ERA in 91 innings pitched in 1986, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Dan Plesac's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1989, when he posted a 2.35 ERA, notched 33 saves and struck out 52 batters. However, others believe that it was 1987, when he posted a 2.61 ERA, notched 23 saves and struck out 89 batters.
