Born on July 4, 1954 in Los Angeles, California, Dan Larson (Daniel James Larson) played for the Houston Astros, Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 7 year career. Larson broke into the bigs on July 18, 1976 with the Houston Astros, and put up a 3.02 ERA in 92.1 innings pitched in 1976, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Dan Larson's best season was 1976, when he posted a 3.02 ERA.
