Born on September 17, 1980 in Monterey Park, California, Dan Haren (Daniel John Haren) played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Oakland Athletics over the course of his 4 year career. Haren broke into the bigs on June 30, 2003 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 5.08 ERA in 72.2 innings pitched in 2003, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Dan Haren's best season was 2006, when he posted a 4.12 ERA, won 14 games and struck out 176 batters.
