Dan Goich (Daniel John Goich) was born on April 30, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois. After going to high school at Mount Carmel (Chicago, IL), Goich attended Coalinga JC and Univeristy of California. Goich made his professional debut in the NFL in 1969 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions, New York Giants and New Orleans Saints over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that 1969 was Dan Goich's best year, as he recovered 4 opponents fumbles.
