Dan Ford (Darnell Glenn Ford) was born on May 19, 1952 in Los Angeles, California. He made his Major League debut on April 12, 1975 for the Minnesota Twins. In 1975, his rookie year, he hit .280 with 15 home runs and 59 RBI. Ford played for the Minnesota Twins, California Angels and Baltimore Orioles over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that Dan Ford's best season was 1979, when he slugged 21 home runs, hit for a .290 average and knocked in 101 runs.
