Dalva Allen (Dalva Ray Allen) was born on January 13, 1935 in Gonzales, Texas. After going to high school at Gonzales (TX), Allen attended the University of Houston. Allen made his professional debut in the AFL in 1960 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Oakland Raiders and Houston Oilers over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that 1960 was Dalva Allen's best year.
