Born on May 15, 1923 in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania, Dale Matthewson (Dale Wesley Matthewson) played for the Philadelphia Phillies for his entire 2 year career. Matthewson broke into the bigs on July 3, 1943 with the Philadelphia Phillies.
