Dale Lindsey (Philip Dale Lindsey) was born on January 18, 1943 in Bedford, Indiana. After going to high school at Bowling Green (KY), Lindsey attended the University of Kentucky and Western Kentucky University. Lindsey made his professional debut in the NFL in 1965 with the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that 1970 was Dale Lindsey's best year, as he ran back an interception for a touchdown.
