D.J. Dozier (William Henry Dozier, Jr.) was born on September 21, 1965 in Norfolk, Virginia. After going to high school at Kempsville (Virginia Beach, VA), Dozier attended Pennsylvania State University. Dozier made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Minnesota Vikings. He played for the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that 1987 was D.J. Dozier's best year, as he ran in 5 TDs.
