Born on March 11, 1874 in Cadwallader, Ohio, Cy Swaim (John Hillary Swaim) played for the Washington Senators for his entire 2 year career. Swaim broke into the bigs on May 3, 1897 with the Washington Senators, and put up a 4.60 ERA in 184 innings pitched in 1897, his rookie year.
