Born on March 23, 1886 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Cy Slapnicka (Cyril Charles Slapnicka) played for the Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 2 year career. Slapnicka broke into the bigs on September 26, 1911 with the Chicago Cubs.
