Cy Perkins (Ralph Foster Perkins) was born on February 27, 1896 in Gloucester, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on September 25, 1915 for the Philadelphia Athletics. In 1918, his rookie year, he hit .188 with 1 home run and 14 RBI. Perkins played for the Philadelphia Athletics and New York Yankees over the course of his 16 year career.
Most people believe that Cy Perkins's best season was 1921, when he hit for a .288 average and knocked in 73 runs.
