Cy Kahl (Cyrus Paul Kahl) was born on November 29, 1904 in Heaton, North Dakota. After going to high school at Jefferson (Alexandria, MN), Kahl attended the University of North Dakota. Kahl made his professional debut in the NFL in 1930 with the Portsmouth Spartans. He played for the Portsmouth Spartans for his entire 2 year career.
