Born on May 18, 1885 in Jamestown, Kentucky, Cy Barger (Eros Bolivar Barger) played for the New York Highlanders, Brooklyn Superbas and Pittsburgh Rebels over the course of his 7 year career. Barger broke into the bigs on August 30, 1906 with the New York Highlanders, and put up a 2.88 ERA in 271.2 innings pitched in 1910, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Cy Barger's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1910, when he posted a 2.88 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 87 batters. However, others believe that it was 1915, when he posted a 2.29 ERA.
