Curt Sandig (Curtis Walter Sandig) was born on July 12, 1918 in Mart, Texas. Sandig attended St. Mary's University. Sandig made his professional debut in the NFL in 1942 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers the entire time. Sandig also played in the AAFC for 1 year, playing for the Buffalo Bisons the entire time.

Most people believe that 1942 was Curt Sandig's best year, as he picked off 5 passes and ran back a punt for a touchdown.
