Born on April 2, 1968 in Homestead, Pennsylvania, Curt Leskanic (Curtis John Leskanic) played for the Colorado Rockies, Milwaukee Brewers, Kansas City Royals and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 11 year career. Leskanic broke into the bigs on June 27, 1993 with the Colorado Rockies, and put up a 5.37 ERA in 57 innings pitched in 1993, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Curt Leskanic's most productive season. Some believe that it was 2000, when he posted a 2.56 ERA, notched 12 saves and struck out 75 batters. However, others believe that it was 1995, when he posted a 3.40 ERA, notched 10 saves and struck out 107 batters.
