Born on December 9, 1888 in Spring Hill, Kansas, Curly Brown (Charles Roy Brown) played for the St. Louis Browns and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 4 year career. Brown broke into the bigs on September 8, 1911 with the St. Louis Browns, and put up a 4.87 ERA in 64.2 innings pitched in 1912, his rookie year.
