The fans of the Carolina Hurricanes, formerly the Hartford Whalers, were ready to party with the Stanley Cup last night. Unfortunately, the Edmonton Oilers had different plans, and now Lord Stanley is going to Edmonton for Game 6 of the 2006 Stanley Cup Finals.
Game 5 was a real barn burner. Edmonton scored first, then Carolina scored the next two. Edmonton then responded with two more goals, taking a 3-2 lead. However, Carolina tied the game, forcing an Overtime. And of course, Edmonton would score the game winner, short-handed, on a break-away.
