Cubs land their man, Fukudome to the friendly confines!

ESPN 1000 in Chicago reports that the Chicago Cubs and Kosuke Fukudome have agreed to a 4 year deal between 12 and 14 million a year.

The Cubs have pretty much taken a back seat in the free agent market so far this year focusing their efforts on the Japanese 2006 Central League MVP.  Early Tuesday it was reported that Fukudome would leave Japan and would be coming to the MLB this year.  However no answer was given on his exact location of choice at that point.  Tuesday night has brought out the conclusion to this story as Kosuke will now join Lee, Ramirez, Soriano and the other cubbies in Chicago.

Is the left handed bat the Cubs have desperately needed for a few seasons now?
