Chicago Cubs SP Mark Prior may be headed back to the disabled list. Since rejoining the Cubs, Prior is 0-4 in four starts and continues to have trouble with his breaking pitches. Prior will throw on Thursday at a team workout, and will then make a decision whether his start should be pushed back, or whether he should return to the disabled list.
Carlos Zambrano gave Cubs brass assurances about his reportedly injured elbow. In a phone call with trainer, Mark O'Neal, Zambrano said that he "feels fine and that he fully expects to make his next start." Zambrano injured his elbow when White Sox coach Joey Cora knocked Zambrano with a bat during All-Star Game batting practice. Zambrano's next start is against the New York Mets
