That's right! Derrek Lee, the Chicago Cubs' personal Jesus, has risen from the dead and made his triumphant return from the disabled list to the nearly dead Cubs Sunday. He only made one rehab start at AAA Iowa, in which Lee went 1-for-4 with an RBI.
Today, against the Minnesota Twins, a team that is red-hot, going 9-1 in their last 10, but still can't gain any ground in the smokin' AL Central. Lee as of now is 1-for-3 with a single and strikeout in his first major league game back. The Cubs also have zero runs on seven hits, as the Twins are beating the north siders 5-0.
And if you want to know what the Cubs gave up for lent while their savior was away? Well, that would be winning of course. The Cubs are 19-40 since Lee went on the DL.
