Craig Shaffer (Craig Alan Shaffer) was born on March 31, 1959 in Terre Haute, Indiana. After going to high school at Schulte (Terre Haute, IN), Shaffer attended Indiana State University. Shaffer made his professional debut in the NFL in 1982 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the St. Louis Cardinals for his entire 3 year career.
