Born on September 29, 1957 in Munich, West Germany, Craig Lefferts (Craig Lindsay Lefferts) played for the Chicago Cubs, San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants, Baltimore Orioles, Texas Rangers and California Angels over the course of his 12 year career. Lefferts broke into the bigs on April 7, 1983 with the Chicago Cubs, and put up a 3.13 ERA in 89 innings pitched in 1983, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Craig Lefferts's best season was 1990, when he posted a 2.52 ERA, notched 23 saves and struck out 60 batters.
