Craig Colquitt (Joseph Craig Colquitt) was born on September 9, 1954 in Knoxville, Tennessee. After going to high school at South (Knoxville, TN), Colquitt attended Cleveland State CC and the University of Tennessee. Colquitt made his professional debut in the NFL in 1978 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Indianapolis Colts over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that 1981 was Craig Colquitt's best year, as he dropped 25 punts inside the 20 and had a 43.3 yard punt average.
