Watford have brought out the pitch-coverings again to protect the pitch ahead of the televised clash with Liverpool this Saturday.
Every year the Vicarage Road turf, ravaged by the demands of both Premier League Football and the Saracens egg-chasing games, seems to become a mud bath, it seems the Hornets are finally doing something about it.
The game against Wigan two weeks ago had to be abandoned on 56 minutes due to torrential rain in Hertfordshire leaving the pitch unplayable, with more rain predicted until the weekend hopefully the covers will be enough to ensure the pitch is in a suitable state for the visit of the Reds.
