Coot Veal (Orville Inman Veal) was born on July 9, 1932 in Sandersville, Georgia. He made his Major League debut on July 30, 1958 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1958, his rookie year, he hit .256 with 0 home runs and 16 RBI. Veal played for the Detroit Tigers and Washington Senators over the course of his 5 year career.
