Born on February 8, 1918 in Asbury Park, New Jersey, Cookie Cuccurullo (Arthur Joseph Cuccurullo) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 3 year career. Cuccurullo broke into the bigs on October 3, 1943 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 4.06 ERA in 106.1 innings pitched in 1944, his rookie year.
