Conway Baker (Conway Oscar Baker) was born on September 9, 1911 in Marlin, Texas. After going to high school at C.E. Byrd (Shreveport, LA), Baker attended Centenary College of Louisiana. Baker made his professional debut in the NFL in 1936 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Chicago Cardinals and chicago/pittsburgh over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that 1943 was Conway Baker's best year, as he ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
