Born on August 11, 1911 in Sagua La Grande, Cuba, Connie Marrero (Conrado Eugenio (Ramos) Marrero) played for the Washington Senators for his entire 5 year career. Marrero broke into the bigs on April 21, 1950 with the Washington Senators, and put up a 4.50 ERA in 152 innings pitched in 1950, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Connie Marrero's best season was 1952, when he posted a 2.88 ERA, won 11 games and struck out 77 batters.
