Congratulations, Boston Red Sox

I know this is not a standard article. But I thought this would be a nice place to share my thoughts on what just happened in the world of Major League Baseball (October 29, 2007 at 12:06 AM Eastern Daylight Time).
Jonathan Papelbon just recorded the final out of the 2007 World Series. I know, you all have heard me be just a bit mean toward that team from Boston. But I am putting any baseball frustration aside to offer all my fellow community members that are Red Sox fans a hearty congratulations on your team's well-earned championship. They quickly put an end to the Colorado Rockies red hot streak of 21 wins in their previous 22 games heading into the World Series.
Doing a double take right now, aren't ya? You're thinking, "Wait a minute... CHF, you? You're being a big softie toward Red Sox Nation?"
Well, as Drew Carey once said when he came home from the therapist in one of his classic The Drew Carey Show episodes (I think it was "Hotel Drew") as he listened to a self-motivation tape was, "Yes, I am." For at least this night, I put my allegiance aside and show some class and respect for the opposite side of the Connecticut state line (that separates me from New England).
