Comcast Yanked the NFL Network

I wrote about this last month, and I want to share it with the AGM members.
Recently our cable company, Comcast, decided to yank the NFL Network from the digital cable lineup. What that does is force you to buy the extra channels on their sports and entertainment tier in addition to the regular digital cable lineup. Of course, there's no way that my mom and dad are going to go the extra mile. Do I care? Let's look at the pros and cons on this situation from the folks from Comcast.
Pros:
- No more Bryant Gumbel.
- I can catch up on extra homework now that I won't watch the 5:00 kickoff game.
- Did I mention Bryant Gumbel? Yes I did, and I want to mention it again.
- No need to worry if I miss an NFL Network game if there's a windstorm like last year.
Cons:
- I can't laugh at Bryant Gumbel's mistakes anymore.
- The idiots in the NFL only put the online service of games on the NFL Network, to the SUBSCRIBERS of the NFL Network. Logical? Nope.
- Can't catch a marquee game's highlights on Youtube because the NFL has yanked almost every notable highlight in recent seasons.
- As I said, listening to Bryant Gumbel messing up is my enjoyment and material.
The NFL is obviously upset about this story, and it says here, that they sued Comcast because of this debacle.
Apparently Comcast has been wanting to do this for quite some time, and this tier that they're moving the channel to, has fewer viewers. Now I'm no analyst, but what this tells me, is that Comcast is forcing you to subscribe for their unpopular package if you want the NFL Network.
Update to this story: So now Comcast has yanked the NFL Network. Maybe a live-blog of the games is better than watching it on TV.
