College Football - Week 10 Games to Watch

Some notes about last week as well as this week's weekly picks:
- After enjoying my best week of picks two weeks ago, I followed it up with my worst week, barely exceeding .500. I thought last week was going to be "Upset City," but no dice. Everyone survived except for Florida, who is now officially out of National Championship contention with their third loss.
- This is "Gut Check Week" in college football. A number of teams, including No. 3 LSU, No. 9 Missouri, No. 12 Michigan and No. 15 Texas are favored on the road. No. 4 Arizona St. and No. 11 Virginia Tech are underdogs on the road.
- For the second straight week (B.C. at V.T. last week), there is a monster match-up between two teams coming off bye weeks - #3 LSU at #17 Alabama. Hopefully it won't be as boring as last week's game - the first 54 minutes that is.
- Well, #4 Arizona St. is 1-0 in the last five games of their regular season schedule. I said I'd be surprised if they won more than two of their last five. This week: at #5 Oregon. That being said, I'm going with Arizona St. this week. Although they're 8 point underdogs, the visitor has won 4 of the last five in this series.
- 966: That was the total yardage in the Hawaii-New Mexico St. showdown. Not as cool as I thought it was going to be, but I'm sure they played hard or something.
- Last week, I wrote, "USF is favored by 4.5 points at UConn. They might as well be favored by 44.5." Embarrassing, just embarrassing.
- Navy has lost an astonishing 43 straight games to Notre Dame. Could this be the year? I think it could've been if the game was played earlier in the year. Navy has given up 45, 44, and 59 in their last three games, the last one being an embarrassing loss to FCS Delaware. It should be interesting.
- I'm not giving up on my Cornhuskers. I think the season-ending injury to QB Sam Keller is a blessing in disguise. You'll see why Joe Ganz should've been starting from Day 1. Who knows what Nebraska team is going to play on Saturday, but I smell an upset; that, or there's something leaking in my apartment.
- B.C. has got to go down one of these weeks, don't they?
