Born on December 27, 1983 in San Diego, California, Cole Hamels (Colbert Richard Hamels) played for the Philadelphia Phillies for his entire 1 year career. Hamels broke into the bigs on May 12, 2006 with the Philadelphia Phillies, and put up a 4.08 ERA in 132.1 innings pitched in 2006, his rookie year.
