Cobb Rooney (Harry Cobb Rooney) was born on March 23, 1900 in Virginia, Minnesota. After going to high school at Roosevelt (Virginia, MN), Rooney attended none. Rooney made his professional debut in the NFL in 1924 with the Duluth Kelleys. He played for the Chicago Cardinals, Duluth Eskimos, Duluth Kelleys and New York Yankees over the course of his 7 year career.
