Coaker Triplett (Herman Coaker Triplett) was born on December 18, 1911 in Boone, North Carolina. He made his Major League debut on April 19, 1938 for the Chicago Cubs. In 1941, his rookie year, he hit .286 with 3 home runs and 21 RBI. Triplett played for the Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that Coaker Triplett's best season was 1943, when he slugged 15 home runs and knocked in 56 runs.
