Born on August 25, 1899 in Pea Ridge, Arkansas, Clyde Day (Henry Clyde Day) played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds and Brooklyn Robins over the course of his 4 year career. Day broke into the bigs on September 19, 1924 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 4.55 ERA in 57.1 innings pitched in 1931, his rookie year.
